Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team : Long Island Visit

May 17th - Meet, Greet Kickoff Fundraiser - WAS GREAT, THANK YOU ALL !

The Schedule June 20 - 22, 2019:

  • Thursday June 20

    • ​WWAST-NY GOLF OUTING with some of WWAST's finest!

      • Join us for an amazing day at Rock Hill Country Club ! The day includes lunch, golf, dinner, drinks, prizes, and raffles. You may have the opportunity to compete against one of our very own WWAST players!

  • Friday June 21

    • Team visiting Stony Brook Veterans Home, to thank those who came before

  • Friday June 21

    • 5:45pm Opening Ceremony​

    • 6:15pm Special game as the WWAST takes on Boomer Esiason and his All-Stars.

    • Location - Ostego Park, Huntington... 

  • SUPER SATURDAY June 22 !

    • 8:15am Morning WWAST players attend the Murphy Run Around the lake to say hello.

    • 1pm: Moriches Athletic Complex - Opening ceremony with friends of the WWAST, featuring The Patriot Guard Riders, Long Island ABATE, displays from local Fire Departments and special guests including Dan Murphy. 

    • 1:30 Moriches Complex - Game time !  WWAST vs the long island all-stars

    • Meet'em all. 5:30pm - 9:30pm: AFTER PARTY ,

    • North Patchogue FD. Food Truck, Beer and Soda for purchase. Giveaways, raffles, hang with the players. Bring your Camera ! Suggested $ 10 donation.  $ 5 players from the LI Express tournament, and those who participate in the 1 - 2 -3 Special below. Kids under 12 Free.

           Great Saturday  1 - 2 - 3 special:

          - register and participate in the LT Michael Murphy Run / Walk Around The Lake, joined by 

             several WWAST players at 8am: https://www.runaroundthelake.com   


         ALL GAMES ARE FREE !  Donations welcome, not required.

         Please get to the games early, and bring a lawn chair


NOTE : Opening Ceremonies usually include Motorcycle escorts such as the Patriot Guard Riders, Veterans

Groups such as Long Island Blue Star Mothers, Flag displays by local firehouses, youth groups such as cub

scouts. Special Guests usually give a short welcome speech. In the past we have been honored by Seal Of

Honor Dad, Dan Murphy, FDNY Commissioner, Dan Nigro, among others.
